Dr Sarafuddin Abdul Syahid Sowell holds a PhD in Law from the International Islamic University of Malaysia and a legal practitioner. He was called to the BAR in 2013. He has experience in managing and leading a team. He has the experience to be part of the management team in developing new businesses in the area of consultancy and training. Throughout his services, he managed local and international clients to ensure the services delivered meet the quality expected by the industry.

 

He has experience in providing consultancy on governance and strategic performance for non-profit organizations and public institutions including educational institutions. He also provides consultancy in corporate dealings such as joint ventures for construction projects, acquisitions and social finance dealings.

 

He also has wide experience in developing professional learning content and delivering training at the local and international levels. Among others are the delivery of professional programmes and programme development for institutions in the Maldives, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Brunei, the Philippines, Senegal, and Kenya. His area of training includes corporate governance, Islamic finance, corporate law, sustainability and risk management.
